DOT-METER Column

Description	:	Sculptural pieces on each column. The 3 sculptural elements reference the traffic signal, using traffic symbol shapes (Triangles, Octagons, Crosses). The medallions are 30" diameter glazed terra cotta, inset into resin coated concrete blocks. The column face is 12'6" high by 4'8" wide. Terra Cotta pieces were fabricated by Gladding McBean (terra cotta manufacturers) directly from styrofoam models made by the artist.
