PUBLIC ART
I have had the privilege to pursue a number of public art projects in Los Angeles County. Most of them were commissioned through the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs. I have created art work all over the city, from the west side: Department of Transportation Parking Enforcement Facility to two Child Care Centers at Lincoln Heights and Van Ness – to Fire Station #65 in Watts, celebrating the poetry and community activism of the Watts Prophets along with the Fire Fighters who make this there temporary home. A bike bridge railing was a project I enjoyed designing for the city of Pacoima through the L.A. Bridge Improvement Project. I also had the good fortune to work with the City of Pasadena for Fire Station #34. I've done small projects for non-profits as well, such as LAUNCH's Tarfest at the Los Angeles Tar Pits in L.A. and I designed a window treatment for the 85th anniversary of the Los Angeles Art Association.
